Sci-Fi Channel crossover: Two great tastes ...

... That taste great together.

A few months ago, I submitted a commission to professional comics creator D.J. Coffman, for his ongoing Will Draw Anything For $2.

No one who knows me should be surprised at what I asked for from him:

Especially since Mary McDonnell and Elisabeth Sladen could pass for sisters, this was too perfect a pairing to resist.

We've got another Gallifrey One postcard deadline coming up in a week. New Year's Day is our cut-off for the postcards.

Gallifrey 2008 call for postcard art

Who wants to design a postcard for Gallifrey One's Nineteenth Symphony: Opus 2008? The prize is a pound of See's Chocolates, or half a kilo of Cadbury Roses (or other Cadbury). You can also get on our mailing list, if you just want to get the postcards in the mail.

We're going to cram an entire progress report onto one side of a little postcard. What should we put on the other side? We've got full color printing capability. Bleed, even -- you can have color and stuff going right up to the edge.

Deadline:
(Pacific time) 12:01 pm 01 January. (Happy new year!)
(British time) 8:01 pm 01 January.

Dimensions at 300 dpi: 1350x1875 or 1875x1350 pixels. Display thumbnail size, if you post your designs, should be 270x375 or 375x270 pixels (i.e., 60 dpi).

Design your art to be 4.5"x6.25" at 300 dpi, and allow for at least 1/8" along the edges where you won't have any text or anything vital to the design. It'll be 4.25"x6" once it's trimmed. So, don't have any text or logos within 40 pixels of the edge (1/8") and we should have no trouble trimming it.

I need a larger version of this picture:

NOT just David. The whole thing with all the Doctors. I know it's a poster so if no one was able to scan the whole thing, I understand. But if anyone has it or knows where to find it, I would appreciate it. I need it for a fanmix cover.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: We just got permission (as of 2007-10-29) to use Sylvester McCoy, Sophie Aldred, and Daphne Ashbrook on our postcards. You can do a collage of photos, or you can draw any of them. My apologies for this coming so late on top of the deadline!

Who wants to design a postcard for Gallifrey One's Nineteenth Sympony: Opus 2008? The prize is a pound of See's Chocolates, or half a kilo of Cadbury Roses (or other Cadbury). Full rules available on www.postcardartinfo.

We're going to cram an entire progress report onto one side of a little postcard. What should we put on the other side? We've got full color printing capability. Bleed, even -- you can have color and stuff going right up to the edge.

Deadline:
(Pacific time) 12:01 am 01 November.
(British time) 8:01 am 01 November.

Dimensions at 300 dpi: 1350x1725 or 1725x1350 pixels. Display thumbnail size, if you post your designs, should be 270x345 or 345x270 pixels (i.e., 60 dpi).

Design your art to be 4.5"x5.75" at 300 dpi, and allow for at least 1/8" along the edges where you won't have any text or anything vital to the design. It'll be 4.25"x5.5" once it's trimmed. So, don't have any text or logos within 40 pixels of the edge (1/8") and we should have no trouble trimming it.

You can e-mail the high-resolution version to gallifrey at postcardart dot info, or just publish a link to it on your server. (Post the link here or send me e-mail.)

You could have a photo of Canary Wharf in flames and a big banner that says "Greetings from Torchwood!" like a standard tourist photo postcard. You could pretend you're designing a color cover for the convention program book and make a photo montage with lots of dark blue swirls in it. Make it look like a still from the opening credits sequence with the Tardis flying through hyperspace... Whatever. It should probably have the official full name of the convention on it somewhere, although that's not actually required

Prize for the one we use will be a 1-lb. box of See's chocolates, or 500g of Cadbury Roses (or other Cadbury chocolate), or something else or you're allergic/dieting. If you've used someone else's art in your composition, get their permission -- you'll be splitting the prize with them.

It doesn't matter if you're in USA or UK or somewhere else, all are welcome to participate in this contest. We'll ship you your chocolates wherever you are.

If you would like to be put on our mailing list, send me a PM, or send e-mail to gallifrey at postcardart dot info. Your info will be kept on a computer in California, and will only be used to send you Gallifrey One postcards.

Would it be appropriate for me to announce here the details for an art contest for the next round of Gallifrey One postcards? The prize is a pound of See's Chocolates, or half a kilo of Cadbury Roses (or other Cadbury).

The postcards that we just mailed out feature a Cyberman on them; if anyone wants one, I'd be happy to mail you one.

Help finding a picture!
by soosha_q (soosha_q)

I really want to try my hand at blending and have a very specific idea in mind. In order to do it I need good sized/quality photos of Gary Oldman and David Tennant kissing someone. Obviously I'm going to try to blend them so they are kissing each other, so if possible please no Rose hands all over the Doctor's head if possible. Any help is greatly appreciated and I can show you the final product if anyone so desires. Thanks!

x-posted as much as I can.

Hello everyone! I'm new to the comm and am hoping someone here can help me out. I am looking for screencaps, or maybe publicity stills of the Eighth Doctor from the Doctor Who TV Movie. Is there anyone here who might have some to post, or would be willing to make some caps for me? Thanks ever so much in advance to whoever replies.

Hi I was wondering since this for Doctor Who pics if any one had the deleted scene of Army Of Ghosts. It was a deleted scene of Rose and the Doctor holding hands while walking to Rose's home. or if anyone knew where to find any of the pics from a website?
